About the product

This fabric is a 10oz left-hand twill katsuragi, woven with thick cotton warp yarns dyed in black sulfur dye and finer cotton weft yarns also dyed in black sulfur dye.

It allows you to enjoy the distinctive fading and aging characteristic of sulfur dyes over time. Despite its rugged appearance, it is finished in a relatively light ounce, becoming softer and more comfortable with continued wear.

The fabric is garment-washed in its greige state, giving it an uneven, vintage-inspired texture. In addition, cotton sewing threads are used to further enhance the overall character of the garment.

Based on a vintage US ARMY shirt, it features distinctive details such as a narrow overlaid yoke and a traditional “inside-out” cuff placket construction. The use of cotton sewing threads allows the garment to develop even more character as it ages.
