About the product

CIOTA's classic denim jacket has been fully renewed. Details such as single pockets with flap, needle-less back cinch and front pleats are sampled from the 1950s vintage. For ease of wear, the jacket is slightly longer and has wider armholes than the vintage model. In addition, the body width has been made wider than before to create a more boxy silhouette. The blue denim is a 13.5oz indigo selvedge denim woven on an old-style power loom (shuttle loom). The warp is made of rope-dyed uneven yarn with indigo, and the weft is made of extra-long delicate cotton, Subin cotton. The fabric is "raw", meaning that it has not been glue-removed, shrink-proofed, anti-stretch or hair-burned. Shrinkage and kinking may occur, but you can enjoy the original denim texture and changes in expression over time.
