The fabric features a thick No. 35 single yarn made from organic extra-long staple cotton. This high-density broadcloth was developed in collaboration with Kaneta Orimono, a renowned textile mill in Shizuoka known for producing some of the world’s densest weaves, and is an exclusive original material by nonnotte.
By weaving the thick yarns to their maximum density and applying a special “clear finish,” the result is a unique fabric that combines the refined appearance of a dress shirt with the durability suited for everyday wear.
While the look is elegant and dressy, it also offers a casual versatility—an appealing contrast that defines the material’s charm.
The color "Blue Granite" is inspired by the hue of blue granite stone. Feeling a sense of dissonance with the traditional European-origin sky blues, the designer created this tone with the intention of offering a sax blue that complements Japanese skin tones more naturally.
The silhouette is based on the new “Draping Half Sleeve Shirt Type D.”
Adapted from a coat pattern, the design avoids the loose look often associated with traditional happi coats, instead offering a refined half-sleeve shirt. Key features include wide finishing along the front and sides, a balmacaan-style collar, horizontally placed buttonholes, and practical seam pockets at the sides. The hem is designed with a front-to-back length variation to add movement and a modern silhouette.
