This is a thin pile jersey made of Egyptian extra-long staple cotton. The surface of the pile is slightly brushed to give it a warm velour look. As with other materials, the price of high quality extra-long staple cotton has skyrocketed, and it has become increasingly difficult to procure it, but this item offers the suppleness and good feel of Egyptian cotton.
The design of this pullover features a thin, delicate metal zip around the collar and on the breast pocket. The collar has a high neck that folds back when the zip is closed, giving it a sailor-like appearance when opened.
